Say hello to my little friend

Just picked up a new Casio Exilim EX-Z600 camera to replace my trusty Sony DSC-P72 Cybershot that I've been using for the past three years or so. My very first PDA was a Casio I purchased at K-Mart way back when, so it's nice to go back to an old friend brand-name.

So far, the camera is as sharp to use as it looks! I mainly decided to get this camera because of its small size, large 2.7" LDC viewer, anti-shake features, and long lasting battery life. It also helps that it uses an SD card instead of the Sony MemoryStick memory to store photos on.

The SD card storage compliments my Treo 700P in that I can use the same memory cards it uses to store my photos. The Treo's high speed CPU coupled with a high speed SD card really makes it a dream to view the large 2048x1536 photos using the built in Palm photo viewer. I can then upload my photos to my Flickr account using my Treo's internet connection on the fly.

I haven't used the camera much yet, but I can't wait to shoot some photos with it!
