Spot the Cicada carcass

I'm currently with family in Independence, MO. I haven't had much time to explore, but it seems to be quite a quaint neighborhood.

The are a ton of cicada's making one hell of a racket around here making me wonder whether they are of the periodical type. I don't see as many as I saw back home, but they are loud, and I can spot a few here and there.

I'll be hitting the road Saturday morning. I hope I don't run into any nasty weather.
